A realistic sex doll tricked officers into starting a murder investigation
After discovering a body suspiciously wrapped up in a blanket on the side of the road, officers opened up a murder investigation... That was until they realised the 'victim' was actually a very realistic sex doll.
Why anyone would throw out a sex doll to start with is beyond me, a realistic sex doll is known to cost from hundreds to thousands of dollars, some are even custom made. Maybe a pang of after sex guilt was the cause for this toy to be thrown to the wayside as it was found by local officers in Queensland Australia.
The body was found wrapped in a blanket on the side of the road and quick to respond officers closed off the highway and set up a perimeter in hopes of finding any evidence that could solve the mysterious murder.
However, after hours of investigation, the exciting thrill of a crime scene was replaced with something much more absurd when officers discovered the 'victim' was actually a very realistic sex doll named Naomi. The Queensland police released in a statement:
Forensic officers commenced investigations which have concluded the body is a life-like replica doll of a human. Officers will continue investigations into the origins of the doll.
Update: Death investigation concluded, Bowen: Police were called to reports of a body wrapped in a blanket on a trail off the Bruce Highway. Forensic officers commenced investigations which have concluded the body is a life-like replica doll of a human. https://t.co/oKYuHinQDh pic.twitter.com/1Vn0ra80QO

It's safe to say a quick DNA test could solve this issue... But the bigger question is why was this doll discarded in such a creepy manner?
