An exceptionally poor idea

Nineteen-year-old Kaitlyn Strom from Minnesota, USA was hanging out with her friends at the Winstock Country Music Festival. Surrounded by some pick-up trucks, she decided to test whether or not her head could fit in a truck’s exhaust pipe. Good news: it did!

Bad news: she couldn’t get it out. An emergency crew was called in to help the unfortunate albeit short-sighted girl out of the situation.

Strom was stuck for 45 minutes when eventually firefighters cut her head out of the pipe.

Paramedics examined Strom after she was freed but she was not seriously injured. However she did receive a citation for underage drinking from the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the Leader reported.

You’d think that she would be painfully embarrassed that firefighters had to cut her head out of a truck’s exhaust pipe, that someone captured the whole thing on video and it had been viewed by millions… but not even in the slightest! She proudly posted a photo of herself on Facebook, holding the sawed-off exhaust pipe alongside the truck and the owner himself!

‘I never expected it to happen, I’m just from Litchfield. I’m not widely known, so it’s crazy to have everyone reaching out to me and stuff.’ Strom told the newspaper.
