Well, there's something you don't see every day. After facing problems with the engine, a pilot in training was forced to make an emergency stop right on a busy Southern-Californian freeway.

A video was shot by a passenger in a neighbouring car, capturing the absurdity of the event. The clip shows the small plane gliding down, narrowly passing cars along the freeway, before finally landing between two lanes. The plane was then pushed to the freeway shoulder as to avoid blocking traffic.

The Californa Highway Patrol confirms that the plane, carrying a 25-year-old pilot and a 36-year-old student, was landed safely. Well, that's good news! Some pretty crazy footage nonetheless.
