In the Yonne region of France, Michel Guyot and Maryline Martin embarked on a crazy challenge, restoring a medieval castle using the methods of the time. Twenty years later what they have done is quite impressive. But all is not finished.

In 1997 when they started this project, Michel and Maryline probably did not expect all this. In twenty years, they created 55 jobs and 300,000 visitors on average rushed to visit the castle, located in the Treigny municipality in France.

It must be said that the work has progressed well. The estate house is finished and the keep dominates the vast building site. But to see the castle completely finished you will have to wait... until 2023!

If you visit, you can take part in workshops (stone cutting, paving), you can meet the master builder and see up close the work of the craftsmen of the time, such as blacksmiths, carpenters, lumberjacks... You can see what it was really like in the Middle Ages!
