Former adult film star Mia Khalifa has decided to auction off her famous glasses to raise money for Lebanon's Red Cross after their 'tireless efforts' after the Beirut explosion.

Mia Khalifa rose to fame after her three months in the porn industry back in 2014 and then promptly exited the scene. The star later revealed she decided to leave the industry as it was 'exploitative' and she was receiving countless death threats over one of her controversial videos.

And well, since she won't be needing them anymore the former porn star has decided to auction off her trademark pair of glasses on eBay and all the proceeds will be going to Lebanese Red Cross.

The auction comes after the explosion which occurred last week in Beirut, the very city where Khalifa was born. She announced on Instagram:

The Lebanese government has resigned. Parliament is next. By choice or by force, either way, Lebanon has had enough while simultaneously having NOTHING. 6 days left on the auction for the original mia khalifa glasses to 100% benefit the @lebaneseredcross. Head to the link in my bio and let’s try to make a positive difference. Keep bidding, keep sharing, keep following accounts like @lebaneseredcross @beiruting @rimafakih @mouin.jaber @ginoraidy @thawramap @impact.lebanon @rebuilding.gemmayze @lebfoodbank. Keep sharing the links for fundraisers by the people, for the people, and DO NOT DONATE A SINGLE PENNY TO THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT BACKED ORGANIZATIONS. The ones who hoard relief money, medical supplies, and food- only to re-sell to the Lebanese people at a 150% mark up. The ones who sit behind and watch the famine, economic collapse, and displacement of their own people on tv from their vacation homes in London, France, and Australia. Ban these pigs from every country in the world until they’re forced to live the same lifestyle they’ve imposed on the people in Lebanon.

Khalifa admitted that she's never actually used eBay before but this cause is as good as any to start. She added:

I'm just trying to get creative, there's always more that can be done and this felt like a cheeky way to raise funds and make sure the conversation and attention doesn't diverge from this crisis.
Creeps are welcome, your money is just as green as ours.

Mia continued:

I'm putting the link in my bio for a few hours then changing it back to the Beirut Relief resources landing page. After that I'll house the links/posts in a pinned memory for ready access.
Happy bidding, ya filthy animals.

The auction has already been up for three days and has already amassed $98,200 (£ 75,000) with just 180 bids. The star stated that once the auction initially hit $100k it was removed from the platform but a new auction is up and running with the awareness of both eBay and the Lebanese Red Cross. The eBay listing read:

LET'S RAISE SOME MONEY TO BENEFIT LEBANON'S MOST VALUABLE ASSET AT THIS TIME OF CRISIS, THE LEBANESE RED CROSS.

Khalifa has also announced on both Instagram and the action platform that for every $20-25k raised she will add in an extra item. So far a used razor blade, a used shower sponge a signed polaroid and even her retainer have all made it into the mix.
