'I'm A Celeb' stars won't be camping outside for 2020 Wales castle series

However, they won’t be getting too much of an easy ride…
I’m A Celeb 2020 is certainly set to be a series like no other. With the action moving from summer Down Under to winter in Wales thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, certain compromises have had to be made to ensure the series can go ahead. Now, it seems that the starswon’t be camping outside as they usually do.

Indoor camping
Instead, they’re set to make camp in an indoor heated area within the castle ruins–but they will be forced to use an outdoor toilet. There’ll also be a campfire area which should remind viewers of the usual Australian camps. Trial areas are set to be dotted around the castle–although there’s no clue yet on what the Bush Tucker Trials will be this year.

The bosses still want the whole experience to be a gruelling challenge, so they’ve taken the toughest elements of the show down under and transported them lock, stock and barrel over here. You can see the basic facilities are being reproduced within the walls of Gwrych.
The show must go on
Whilst there were fears that Wales’ fire break lockdown might stop the show from going ahead, Gwrych Castle’s official Twitter account tweeted:

The I’m A Celeb 2020start date hasn’t been officially announced yet but it won’t be long now as the show usually kicks off in mid-November. There were also rumours that the show would only run for two weeks instead of the usual 3 and a half but this hasn’t been confirmed.
