Richard Madeley for I'm A Celeb 2021

A source told The Sun:

Richard’s been asked year after year but the timing has never been right. But now, finally, he’s said ‘Yes’. He’s a favourite with ITV execs. He’s brilliant off and on screen so it seemed as good a time as any to throw caution to the wind and eat animal bits. He’s a fantastic coup and a nailed-on fan favourite. Once you wind him up, off he goes — he will make for castle gold.

If Richard really is heading to the castle, he’ll no doubt be getting tips from son-in-law James Haskell. Ex-rugby player James is married to Richard and Judy’s daughter Chloe Madeley and appeared on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! series 19 two years ago.

That being said, Richard’s experience will be pretty different to James’ as this year’s series of I’m A Celeb is being filmed at Wales’ Gwrych Castle for the second year in a row—as opposed to the Australian jungle.

Who else is in the rumoured I’m A Celeb 2021 line-up?

ITV are keeping tight-lipped about this year’s camp mates and continue to insist that any rumoured names are just ‘speculation.’ However, several names keep popping up—including ex-EastEnders star Jake Wood and Drag Race UK’s Cheryl Hole. And it could be a battle of the breakfast presenters, as Louise Minchin—who quit BBC Breakfast after nearly 20 years this summer—is also strongly rumoured to be heading to Wales.
