After the news broke yesterday that she had split from Strictly star Giovanni Pernice, the odds have been shortened dramatically on Maura Higgins becoming a camp mate on I’m A Celeb 2021. If the rumours are true, Maura would be making history as the first ex-Love Islander to ever appear on the show.

What has Maura said about I’m A Celeb?
Last year, Maura confirmed that she ‘wouldn’t turn down’ the opportunity to appear on I’m A Celeb—although she did also say that she’d prefer to wait for the show to return to the Australian jungle before signing up. When asked about a potential appearance on the show back in 2020, she said:

ITV are still keeping the I’m A Celeb 2021 line-up a secret - although it has been finalised and revealed to Ant and Dec. Some of the other names strongly rumoured to be going into the castle are presenter Richard Madeley, soap stars Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson, choreographer Arlene Phillips, ex-Saturdays star Frankie Bridge and Olympic diver Matty Lee.
