The film is supposed to carry on from its predecessor Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom where the dinosaurs were released into civilisation. Trevorrow even released a short film last September called The Battle of Big Rock, to create fluidity between the two major titles.

It is speculated that Jurassic World: Dominion will be closer to the classic Jurassic Park films as screenrant.com has pointed out the logo and typography in the slate are more similar to the Jurrasic Park films than the rest of the Jurassic World series. This could mean that the film is intended to tie both trilogies together in the Jurassic wrap up.
There have also been many theories as to what the content of the new film will be. One site claims that 'Dominion' could be a bible reference where humans took dominion over the earth, and this time dinosaurs could take dominion instead. Another site speculates that there will be an element of weaponising the dinosaurs as private buyers and governments could purchase the dinosaurs to use in armies and private trading. However, we do know that the beloved Jurassic World actors, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum will be once again taking on their roles.
