The sequel to 2016's Doctor Strange, titled Doctor Strange in the Multiuniverse of Madness, is set to be full of surprises. Unlike the first movie, Scott Derrickson won't be directing the sequel after he left the movie due to creative differences. Sam Raimi, who directed the original Spider-Man trilogy with star Tobey Maguire, is going to be the new director of Doctor Strange 2.

The synopsis has already been revealed:
'After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Dr. Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Stone. But an old friend turned enemy seeks to destroy every sorcerer on Earth, messing with Strange's plan and also causing him to unleash an unspeakable evil.'More under this adMore under this ad
The Sorcerer Supreme will be navigating through different universes in a first-ever horror genre movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, meaning anything and everything can happen. Multiple universes will allow the appearance of multiple Spider-Men - a concept that will allow the director to bring back some familiar faces.
Director Sam Raimi has worked with Tobey Maguire in the past during the filming of the three Spider-Man movies he directed that starred the Seabiscuit actor. These movies were in fact immensely crucial in the rise of Marvel's Cinematic Universe and have helped Spider-Man become one of the most important superhero characters of all time.
