Is One Big Pizza Better Than Two Small Ones? Check Out The Debate That’s Been Shaking The Internet!
More under this adThis is THE debate that has shocked internet users during the beginning of 2019. What’s better: ordering two small pizzas or one big one?
After the many debates online, such as the famous one about what colour the dress was (blue and black or white and gold), there is now a new question that is dividing internet users. And it’s about… pizza. It all started with a tweet from Fermat’s Library’s Twitter account, that suggested a mathematical calculation for the size of the Ninja Turtles’ favourite meal.

At first, the result looks quite surprising, but there is a precise calculation that backs up this idea. An 18-inch pizza has a surface area of 0.16 metres squared, whilst two pizzas measuring 12 inches have a surface area of just 0.14 metres squared. We’ll spare you the maths behind it, since it’s probably enough to make your head spin.
Lots of reactions
After this result was posted, lots of twitter users reacted in some quite weird and wonderful ways.
‘The crust is arguably the best part and two 12-inch pizzas have 33.3% more crust than an 18-inch pizza. And now I’m hungry, thanks @fermatslibrary!’ wrote one twitter user.

‘Finally! I can now coherently explain to my 10-year-old why math is important in life: without math, you might unknowingly spend more for less pizza!’ commented yet another twitter user. So now you know what you should do next time you order pizza. Order one big pizza instead of two little ones!
