This man hasn't showered in 60 years, now he is almost unrecognizable

Amou Haji’s case managed to travel halfway around the world once Facebook picked it up. An Iranian media source called the Tehran Times interviewed him to find out more about his particular lifestyle and his decision to stop showering.

He self-isolated

This man is now in his 80s and has quite an unusual story indeed. Amou lived in Deigah, a city in Iran when he decided to isolate himself from the rest of civilisation. According to him, he is happier this way and says even though he doesn’t have many possessions. He doesn’t miss anything and doesn’t need to worry about being robbed.

Everyday life looks a little different

Amou claims that his favourite food is rotten porcupine meat and armadillos. And when it comes to cutting his hair or his beard, which grows quite quickly, the old man directly grabs hold of it and burns it off. An incredible method, don’t you think? Would you dare to try?

Another thing, Amou Haji, who promised he would never shower again, has been nicknamed the ‘World’s Dirtiest Man’ and now holds this record since his predecessor was a man from India who had gone a total of 35 years without bathing.
