An illegal surprise
This mother placed her usual order at a McDonald’s restaurant in Maine, USA—a couple of menus and a Happy meal for her 11-year-old son. When she opened up the box for her child, she was astonished to find drugs included in the meal. The drug was Suboxone, a medication used to treat narcotic addiction.

After checking the CCTV footage, the authorities found that the prescription drugs actually belonged to one of the employees of the branch. The medicine had accidentally slipped out of his shirt pocket and landed into the menu while he was preparing the order.
The aftermath
The whole incident may have been an accident but the employee in question did not escape the consequences. Furthermore, the officers in-charge had discovered that he had obtained the drugs illegally through another employee from the same branch.
